Alireza Panahpour, DDS
Alireza Panahpour, DDS, is a cosmetic and systemic dentist practicing in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Dr. Panahpour comes from a long line of dentists; you could say that dental care is part of his DNA. As a young boy, he helped his father care for patients and was fascinated by oral surgeries.
Dr. Panahpour completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. After graduating with a degree in dental surgery, he continued his education at the New York Academy of Medicine in East Harlem. As a biological dentist, also known as a systemic dentist, Dr. Panahpour uses holistic, natural materials and treatments and state-of-the-art technology with an integrative approach.
Dr. Panahpour recognizes the need for a broader scope in modern dentistry. Any intervention on a tooth can have both local and systemic effects on the nervous system, immune system, digestive system, musculoskeletal system, and beyond. His approach to dental health encompasses the patient’s diet, immune and structural integrity, energetic alignment, and all the traditional treatments that patients are used to receiving at a conventional dental practice.
Dr. Panahpour specializes in safe mercury filling removal, surgical repair, and cavitational osteonecrosis, proper tooth extraction, structural harmony, and – most importantly – helping patients practice preventative dentistry. Considered a pioneer in mercury-free, systemic, and minimally-invasive dentistry, Dr. Panahpour is routinely asked to speak at holistic dental and systemic dental conferences and to naturopathic students worldwide. He has documented his more than 25 years of experience and research practicing holistic, systemic dentistry in his 2016 book, “The Good Dentist.”
In addition to his regular practice, Dr. Panahpour often works in teams with medical doctors and institutions to provide treatments for chronically ill patients around the world – 70% of his patients are referred to him this way. These patients fly in from around the world, seeking treatment for chronic conditions after seeing doctors from many other disciplines who are unable to help them. Dr. Panahpour is honored to have the opportunity to help them find a way back to their best and healthiest lifestyle.
